Deerhunter "Revival" Directed by: Justice GutierrezBachelor's design thesis at St. Edward's University, Feb. 2015.
Aiming to engage the medium of stop motion animation by unconventional means, I looked to my favorite filmmakers and their work for inspiration. I was particularly drawn to surrealist filmmaking, and became curious of the process involved. In order to investigate this operation, I focused on melting and vibration: two highly physical and practical processes that I felt could be manipulated via stop motion. This music video for Deerhunter's "Revival" documents my extended experimentation with the physical capabilities of stop motion animation, in about 20,000 images.
The Boxing Lesson "Better Daze" Directed by: Eric PowerOn a spooky night, creatures from a dark meteor descend on an unsuspecting city.

The animated music video is a fictional re-telling of the story that inspired Bill to write the song in the first place, and echoes the hope we all must cling to in the face of injustice.
